Description
I am regretfully selling my D Super (5-speed), which is mechanically outstanding, having been cared for by great owners and Citroën specialist maintained. Excellent tyres, stainless steel exhaust, new spheres inc accumulator sphere, fluids, recent steering rack and full service, plus numerous other replacement parts in recent years from Citroën Classics in Surrey. This is one very well cared for D with a large history file.
The car has no rust either on the surface or underneath, or in any of the usual hidden DS places. It really is that good!
The paintwork is reasonable as it is, having had an expensive respray in the 1990s but I would say there are two options for the new owner.
1) Use the car as it is, enjoy it and don’t worry about any stone chips and scuffs. She starts, stops and rides better than any DS or CX I have previously owned and I’ve been using it daily (on dry days).
2) Spend a few grand on paintwork and turn it into a mint example, which would mean it is worth a great deal more. (I don’t have the funds to do this - otherwise this is the option I would take).
I wish I could keep this D, as it really is beautiful and drives exceptionally well. I have drive it all over the country in the last few months and the previous owner took it to Citroën’s 100th birthday celebrations in Paris in 2019.
Circumstances have changed though, and I must regretfully part with it. Drop me a line and I’ll be happy to answer any questions. Located just off the A1, near Stamford.
