MG ZT 160 1. 8 turbo in Monogram Poseidon.
2006, 55 plate facelift. 66656 miles.
This is a unique car, being the only car made in Poseidon with the 1. 8 Turbo k series engine.
I have owned this car since June 2017, unfortunately due to family illness, it was immediately SORN after buying it.
The car has been stored in my garage under a breathable cover for almost 5 years now. It has been regularly started and has been cleaned and polished to try and keep the stunning colour shining. There are a few minor marks/ scratches as you would expect of a car of this age. There is no rust!
The previous owner replaced the head gasket in October 2013, and as part of this job fitted a brand new cylinder head. The engine has given no problems since.
A longlife stainless steel cat back exhaust system was fitted in February 2015. This was made to original specification so is not loud and has a lifetime warranty.
New full set of Toyo tyres fitted in April 2016 at 60k miles, so still lots of wear left on them.
Full set of Brembo brake discs and pads fitted in July 2016.
New Air Con condenser fitted in September 2016 along with a new cooling fan resistor and re-gas giving nice cool air conditioning.
Other extras/ upgrades that the previous owner had fitted to the car include:
Air con controller has been modified to a blue backlight.
VVC alloy inlet manifold fitted.
Tow bar fitted. (I believe it was for a tent trailer, however this was only used once or twice)
Modified hand brake compensator fitted.
Orange clip fitted to fuel filter housing.
The car has just been MOT March 2022.
In order to pass, it required three of the brake pipes replacing. The car also received a full service with new filters plugs and oil.

My intention was to take this car to MG shows and so below is a list of what I believe need doing to make the car show worthy.
The driver’s seat cushion is starting to show signs of wear/ splitting on the bolster.
I do have a Brand new Summit with Grey stitching Passenger seat cushion, the car has Summit with Green stitching, but the leather is an exact match so could be used by an upholsterer to repair the drivers cushion.
The black rear window trim surround has dried out over time and the black coating is cracking and coming away revealing the chrome trim underneath.
I have a full Brand new black trim surround. These are not available to buy any more and is very rare.
The Gridspoke Alloys were refurbed in November 2013, and while these are still very presentable there are now a few marks on them and if you were wanting to show the car would probably benefit from another refurb. The spare wheel is also a Gridspoke.
The original Rover Cassette Radio is in full working order and the 6 CD autochanger in the boot is also in full working order.
I have a folder full of receipt and MOT’s, mostly from the previous owner.
Also has a leather folder with the handbook inside.
I am only selling the car because I need to fund a knee operation.
I also have a private reg plate that I am selling separately that I bought to put on the car, but never got round to it. The plate is MG55ROV (MG ROVER) If you are interested in buying this at the same time, this can be discussed.
The car is located near Morpeth, Northumberland (about 25 miles north of Newcastle).
