Citroen Xantia Estate 2. 0 HDi LX Forte for sale.
I'm really only selling it as I'm just not getting the time to do the few jobs that needs doing on it.
It's the 110BHP HDi engine. It's done 144, 000 miles, the engine is still really strong pulling, with no oil leaks.
It's been serviced at least once a year by me without fail regardless of the mileage, using Total oils. Gearbox oil has recently been changed.
The interior is pretty much spotless.
The power steering pipe that rots often on these cars has already been replaced.
The known issues are:
Both sills have been welded, just patch repairs to get it through the MOT. The sills often rot on these cars due to a design fault.
Normal lacquer peel on the roof and bonnet as shown in photos.
The heater matrix is leaking slightly. I have a new heather matrix which will come with the car, but again I'm just not getting time to pull the dashboard out to replace it.
There is clutch chatter in 1st and reverse. This happened straight after I had a garage replace the clutch, if I had to guess I think they bolted the clutch on in the wrong order and that's what is causing the chatter. It could potentially be the flywheel needs resurfacing, but I can't tell without pulling the clutch out. Again, I was going to do the job myself rather than waste time with a garage getting it wrong again, but not had a chance.
The only other issue I know of is the air conditioning doesn't work. I've had it checked and it looks like it's leaking from the compressor, so that will need replacing if you want working AC.
