Kingsley Re-Engineered 1994 Range Rover Classic KR Series - 5-litre
The ‘soft dash’ was the final incarnation of the Range Rover Classic (RRC). The model has favourable upgrades from earlier ‘hard dash’ models such as fully blended air conditioning, driver and passenger air bags and improved ABS. Today we are offering a UK-registered restored and upgraded last of the line soft dash for sale.
A full bare metal restoration was undertaken to this example before putting its body shell and chassis through the full Kingsley Re-Engineered future proofing process, giving years of use without the worry of future corrosion and finished in Novol Spectral, high-quality restoration solvent-based paint.
Kingsley has improved this particular RRC with its Stage 1 Braking system consisting of uprated discs and callipers, Kingsley Fast Road Suspension Kit with uprated anti roll bars for superior handling and ride quality.
This car is fitted with the Range Rover Classic firm’s top of the range Kingsley 5-litre, 320 bhp high torque fully balanced engine. Only the block of the engine is original Land Rover, (albeit bored and stroked), the liners are ‘top hatted’, the crankshaft is custom, the pistons are new weight matched items, the rods are forged, the cam is a custom unit designed to deliver a surfeit of torque - the engine is built using only the highest quality parts and is fully balanced – it revs and delivers power quite unlike any other Rover-based unit!
Mated to the engine is a strengthened 4-speed ZF automatic gearbox and transfer box, uprated differentials and uprated drive shafts. To compliment all of the above, the car is also fitted with a Kingsley Re-Engineered full stainless steel exhaust system for maximum torque and power with a discreet, muted sound.
Internally the car has been fully sound deadened and insulated, been fitted with improved Kingsley Re-Engineered door seals and extended Kingsley door seals for a more relaxing driving experience. A 700 Watt fully custom engineered JL sound system with a Blaupunkt Bremen DAB head unit which looks classical but has all of the modern features is fitted.
The seats have been retrimmed with extended leather on the seat backs, rear parcel tray and luggage area and an Alcantara roof lining, door pillars and door card centres are installed.
The perfect combination of power and refinement, built as a discreet gentleman’s carriage but with the punch, when required of a back-alley brute.
This Range Rover has covered less than 1000 miles of testing and snagging since its restoration completed in January 2022 and could be made ready immediately for the next owner
