Description
1979 Jaguar XJ-S in Carriage Brown, good reliable driver, runs cool on the motorway, undercoated and cavity-sealed, very limited rust. I would drive this car anywhere.
//
Pros:
- Original carriage brown color
- Reliable driver
- Cooling system works great
- Very limited rust, underbody rust-free
- Completely undercoated and cavity-sealed
- New rebuilt rear inboard brakes
- Two coolant sensors in upper radiator hoses
- Two fuel pressure sensors installed
- Wired for modern oil pressure sensor
- Fresh oil, coolant, and transmission fluid
- Hardly any leaks which is weird
- New tires
//
Cons:
- Big parking dent in left quarter panel
- Idles too low and stalls when warm (unless you stay on the gas)
- Headliner is sagging (its a Jaguar tradition)
- Most dashboard gauges do not work
- Rust on left door, left front mud flap, underneath rear bumper
- Modern gauges not permanently installed, only zip-tied
- Your wife might kill you if you bring home another Jag

I am considering downsizing from two to one XJ-S.
Not in a hurry to sell. Also check out my 1975 XJ-S.
