Offered for sale is my dad's 1995 Mercedes-Benz C220. He recently purchased the car but struggles to get in and out of it due to getting on a bit (don't tell him I said that...). Its a shame because he loves the car, but due to lack of steering adjustment, finds it too difficult to use daily.
He's now purchased a replacement car so the merc has to go.
The good bits:
Low mileage for its age - 84k.
Long MOT to April 23 with no advisories. Good MOT history too.
Really nice condition inside and out.
Drives beautifully and really comfortable ride.
Has plenty of history with it from previous owners. Service book up to date, last serviced in September 21.
Original handbook present.
First aid kit and warning triangle present.
Really good Avon matching tyres all round.
Only 3 previous owners over its 27 years.
Recent new discs and pads and wheel alignment.
The not so good bits:
The fuel gauge is temperamental. Drops in and out but works more than doesn't.
The rear passenger side electric window sticks (my dad just avoided using it).
Few marks and scuffs around bodywork, worse bit to front bumper. The trim is slightly lose in the area too.
Drivers seat bolster has slight wear.
All in all its a very original car and has been very well cared for. Please bear in mind though that it is a 27 year old car, don't be expecting a new one!
The car is now sorn and under a car cover. We'll continue to start it to get charge in battery and fluids through. Unfortunately it doesn't have any insurance on at the moment.
My dad only wants to get back what he paid. We're open to reasonable offers around the asking price. But we're not going to entertain any stupidly low offers.
