TVR 350i
For sale is my lovely TVR 350i, reluctantly being sold as a project.
I purchased RJI in March 2018, the previous owner being a well known car blogger so there are lots of nice videos of her on YouTube and I do have a few of my own too, mainly of that fantastic exhaust note!

The reason I’m selling this lovely car as a project is because after taking her for her last MOT which she passed yet again with no advisories (She’s failed one MOT in my ownership and that was for one washer jet supplying insufficient water which was complete rubbish!) I noticed a slight miss fire and the coolant system was over pressurising, one thing led to another and to cut a long story short, I ended up stripping the whole engine down and commenced a rebuild.
I have listed below some of the larger items that have been replaced, there are loads more smaller components also, too many to list.
There is also an absolutely huge history folder with pretty much everything the car has ever had including sales invoices, MOT’s etc etc. I also have the original hand books, a comprehensive parts catalogue and a Steve Heath Maintenance manual amongst other things.

Front cover with uprated oil pump and distributor/ pump drive gear oil spray feed.
Alloy wheels refurbished.
Once the engine was removed and stripped, the following was carried out:-
Block checked & Ultrasonically cleaned
Block faced
Bores honed
Crank reground
New shells
Flywheel, skimmed & lightened slightly
Heads & valves ultrasonically cleaned
Heads skimmed
Valves Re-Faced and Lapped in
The additional parts needed to put the engine back together will be a camshaft, followers, piston rings and a gasket set, I was going to purchase the camshaft that I had decided on (a Real Steel Hurricane) but then thought I’ll leave it to the new owner to chose as everyone has different requirements.
I had also intended to convert the engine to carburettor and had bought the kit as listed below, I will sell this as a separate item if required although the fuel injection was working perfectly well so can be refitted.

As for the condition of the body and chassis, these are both in excellent condition, the chassis is particularly good, I have checked the outriggers and the N/ S one has a little surface rust near the rear but is completely solid so just needs a clean up and re-treating, I have left the N/ S sill cover loose so any prospective buyer can inspect it.
The rear subframe and differential were fully refurbished by a previous owner and at some point a stainless steel exhaust has been fitted which sounds superb.
The lovely interior is original and untouched and in pretty good condition for its age.
The roof fabric has faded, this never bothered me as 99% of the time the roof was down anyway. I do have a Renovo Reviver kit that will come with the car, if required.
The body has got a few chips and knocks on various panels which is to be fully expected on a vehicle of this age with mostly original paintwork, to my knowledge, the front bumper and spoiler are the only panels to have been painted due to stone chips, but as can be seen in the images the whole car still looks fantastic and is a real head turner whenever it’s out and about.
All in all this is a fine example of a classic British sports car of this era, that just needs putting back together to enjoy.
