steering wheel to name but a few.
A father and his three sons, all mechanical engineers,
spent three years meticulously turning a well cared for Mercedes-Benz SLK320 into the modern classic you see before you.
The full roof structure was removed and a tubular roll cage was fitted ensuring both safety for the occupants and rigidity for the gullwing doors.
It is finished in a lovely shade of Mercedes metallic grey, and the interior is trimmed in a lovely contrasting red leather.
The interior is a work of art, and in my opinion almost indistinguishable from a genuine gullwing helped along by use of original gauges, knobs, foldable steering wheel and more.
By retaining the sporty SLK320 running gear, you’ll enjoy modern driving dynamics and features such as air conditioning which increase the cars usability and fun factor incredibly compared to a 50’s car.
Up to date safety systems such as power steering, traction control, powerful anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control are all retained helping you to get the most of the 3. 2 V6 engine. The rear wheels are driven through a 6 speed Getrag manual gearbox, cleverly hidden behind the original 4 speed gear knob.
