Bearing little resemblance to the Ford trucks that came before this, the 38 Ford’s were treated to a thorough restyle, carried over unchanged to 1939.
With longer (car-like) fenders creating that iconic classic styling that we all love, really emphasised in a metallic dark blue. With a spacious cab and a larger cargo box, this definitely is a Ford truck of Note.
This particular example is rolling on a modern and easily maintained
Jag front and rear suspension, with front disc breaks taming the 383 V8 motor that starts up at a quarter turn, married to a 350 turbo gearbox that’s shifts oh so smoothly.
The power steering makes turning the 20 inch American Racing wheels very easy.
Looking through the split windscreen (that’s tilts open) you see a neat and redone interior covered in a golden beach sand colour that’s combines perfectly with the exterior.
Driving this Pick up is so easy with all electronics working from front to back giving you peace of mind.
A classic 1939 Ford truck, slightly tweaked with modern upgrades, to be enjoyed now some 83 years later.
