Revision 2 Mk 2 MR2 T-Bar UK edition in red with leather, 11 months MOT.
Really good condition for the year, leather interior, stack of paperwork.
Real sad story with this one, the gentleman that owned it for the last 7 years got a big shock at the MOT, it needed a "load" of welding.
That coupled with suspension issues and new tyres he just could not afford all that in one hit.
He absolutely loved this car and was being offered a lot of money for it as a breaker, but he refused and almost gave it to us on the proviso we restore it.
And here she is :)
The price is reflecting the amount of work we have done, time and money spent.
Both rear arches have been re-built by hand, we have before and after photos. Both sills needed minor works, and these have also been done with pattern parts.
The front suspension strut top mounts were missing in action, so a replacement pair of struts have been fitted and she went through an MOT just needing new tyres.
The cambelt kit, water pump, head gasket etc have all been done at a reputable local garage fully receipted.
With a new set of Toyo tyres fitted, this car is ready for her next careful owner.
There is literally nothing left to do on this car mechanically and body work, I have done it all. Should be good for the next 8 to 10 years til you need to do the cambelt. Change her oil every year and dist cap and rotor every 4. Tyres should last another 4-6 years depending on mileage.
Starts on the button, comes with an aftermarket cat 2 immobiliser, drives extremely well for the year, a credit to the previous owner. There are a couple of items of paintwork that need addressing, this can be done for you at a small additional cost if you want, but I thought best to keep the cost low so someone who wants to get in to a proper car can take it away with the hard work done, and make her perfect in their own time.
