Description
Presented for sale is a rough but ready pre-facelift VW Polo Breadvan.
The car in question comes in the rare, factory original, Atlas Grey code LP7V, with the red ‘Fox’ interior which is very hard to come by now.
This Polo has been off the road for a few years, however it has cleaned up very well. The interior is slightly faded in places but otherwise extremely good and the paintwork isn’t that bad, although rough around the edges.
Other than a slight lower on some firmer springs, the car only has one other modification - being a Weber 32 TLA carburettor. These carbs are worth a fair price on their own and are touted as the best conversion from the factory Pierburg.
Good points:
MOT until June 2023
All structural welding done
New fuel tank
New carb flange mount
Weber 32 TLA carb
New fuel hoses and system flush
Lowered slightly (unsure of spring make)
Starts on the button
Rare Atlas Grey colour
Original interior and radio
Bad points:
Rough around the edges, scratches and cosmetic rust here and there
Needs a new fuel sender (gauge works but current sender is cracked, no leak though)
Doesn’t come with much history, MOT history is available to view online.
It’s a 31 year old car. Don’t expect something perfect. It was off the road for 7 years however had been fixed by myself and the trader I bought it from. It’s now an appreciating classic that could benefit from some more love to make it a tidy example.
Reason for sale is I’m going on a road trip in August, now I’ve fixed the car I don’t want to sell, but the funds could benefit me well. If it doesn’t sell before the 31st July I will keep it.
Pictures include: Exterior, Interior, Fuel tank Recess, New Fuel tank, Carburettor model number, Engine bay, New Carb Flange and some of the stickers on the car.
