1964 UK Morris Mini Moke For Sale. A perfect project car for someone with the eye for a car with heritage..
The early English Mokes are quirky cars, this one more so than most. Having been purchased direct from the factory after being the works run around 'mule', a Bill of Sale can be found in the history files and some office clerks letters to accompany it from Issigonis’ office, this car was sold to Alex Moulton CBE, who kept this car in his private collection until it was sold from his estate him having used it as a suspension test bed for prototyping and testing some of the later additions to mini hydrogas / hydroelastic, making it a very important Mini Moke with great provenance to suit.
This vehicle has a very interesting and important back history going from the time it was released from the factory to Moulton Developments, through to its sale to myself in the period of 2013. Moulton having modified the suspension himself, his having played a big part in the developments of hydro gas, and rubber cone systems for Morris, Austin and BMC over the years… this Moke has some fun and interesting upgrades and would be a worthy car in any vehicle museum or mini based collection.
The car is currently in secure storage in the UK (Just North of London on the M11) .
Please see the photos attached, most of which were taken when I received it back in 2013. A good friend whisked it off and Mini Magazine did an interesting article on it, other than that photo shoot I have done nothing but dry store the car.... where it has stood since that day waiting.
Here is a great opportunity for you to own this true classic UK built 64' Moke, with a supporting archive/ file attached and a worthy project for any budding enthusiast, collector or museum. They don't come much better than this if its a Moke project you're looking for.
It will be being sold on the basis of ‘sold as seen’ and as a ‘non running restoration project car’, but don't be put off as its a very complete vehicle and being mini based, a simple car to recommission too.

It was written on what they could see in the file and Alex Moultons history, It's certainly worth looking at if you have a copy to hand or can find a back issue.
