Vehicle History:
This Pagoda, like very few Pagodas, is equipped from the factory with a 5-speed transmission, which is a very sought-after variant of the model nowadays. The car has no convertible roof, which is equally unusual. This version of the 280 SL Pagoda was typically sold in California, since a roof wasn’t needed anyway, and the free storage space could be used otherwise. It is no surprise that a Sicilian, who lives at a similar latitude to the Californians, has similar interests and ordered this version. The small round position lights and the decals in the windshield are reminiscent of its Italian origins. Overall, this Pagoda is in fascinatingly original condition, having stood unmoved for decades in the dry climate of Sicily.
