It is with a heavy heart that I must sell my lovely TVR 350i. This is a wonderful example which has had significant time, money and love spent on her. It has a history folder with lots of receipts for work in the later years of the cars life, however there is no history for the early years and presume this has been lost at some point.
In the last year alone, the car has receipts totaling £4, 500 for various engine upgrades and now benefits from a fully rebuilt engine, with only 300 miles completed since the rebuild. The work includes; new Kent camshaft, steel roller camshaft chain and steel gears, adjustable pushrods with hydraulic lifters, refurbished 3. 5 bottom end with new 20 degree pistons and seals, all new gaskets and seals etc. Inline with the engine work, I completed a full service including oil and oil filter, air filter and NGK Spark plugs.
The car has also had a new alloy radiator and water pump fitted in the last 12 months.
The car has just had an MOT and passed with ZERO advisories.
At some point, the car has had a respray in its original Ford Nimbus grey and the paintwork presents really well. A few small marks and hairline cracks are present as you would expect on a fiberglass body that is 35 years old.
The roof is in good condition, although there is some wear to it and a new owner may want to upgrade at some point. I treated the roof to a Renovo Hood Dye kit and it now presents really well.
The exhaust was replaced at some point and now has a full stainless steel sports exhaust. It sounds incredible and pops and bangs a plenty on the over run. The noise is spine tingling.
The chassis is solid and in excellent condition.
The car was first registered in 1987 as a 350i with an upgraded factory fitted bored out 3. 5 to a full 3. 9 liter (3948cc) as a special order.
However, as mentioned, the car has recently had a complete engine overhaul due to a ticking noise that developed (now sorted) and subsequently has now been converted back to a 3. 5, albeit a very good one at that! The engine is very peppy, although I am still running it in.
The BBS alloys are in excellent unmarked condition. I have recently has them painted in Anthracite, which really sets them off against the car.
I have fitted heated MX5 tombstone seats to the car, which dramatically improves the driving experience. They are night and day over the standard seats in terms of comfort and support and also have the option to be wired up for heated seats, if one so desired. I have the original seats (if need of a retrim) and they will be included in the sale.
The carpets are a little tired, but again not bad.
On the whole this is an excellent example of this iconic classic TVR. I get comments, thumbs up, and general appreciation for the car every time I take her out. It will be thoroughly missed. Genuine reason for sale.
