Here is my beloved Subaru. This was an itch I had always wanted to scratch. Being born in the 90s, these adorned the estates around us when I was growing up and we idolised them. Despite the yesteryear stigma, these cars have been heralded more and more over the years sheerly for just how simply good they are.
After 6 months on the hunt for a good example, I found this car last year and within minutes of viewing it knew it would be coming home with me as it was just so clean. I wanted a rust free, unmodified example that had been well looked after. This car had been with its then owner for over 10 years and kept in a heated garage he’d had built for it before buying it. It had been his baby and that was clear to see. It was also the only one I saw that didn’t have burn marks in the drivers seat…
The car is stock with a couple of exceptions. The exhaust has been replaced for a full stainless steel system and comes with both a decat pipe and a sports Cat pipe that can be swapped around. It currently has the decat pipe fitted. It also has a dump valve fitted that I must admit humours the inner teenager and I have had fitted a double sun Apple CarPlay head unit by Car Audio Security in Hayes. I still have the original OEM headunit too.
As soon as I bought the car, we carried out a full service including a cambelt and water pump change. The car has covered less than 1, 000 miles since. After a few hundred miles however, the turbo began to smoke so I sent the car to Subaru LEGENDS Roger Clark who fitted a brand new IHI VF35 (OEM type) Turbo and attended to a few other niggles. I’ve also just had the car fully detailed.

I will be very sad to see this go, my other half even more so, but I’ve adopted/ had to adopt a strict one in one out policy at home. I’d like to state that I would like first refusal on the car from whoever buys it if they ever sell it.
As with all of our vehicles, we have a digital folder available on request containing more images, walkaround videos, pictures of the underside and scans of the service history. The car can be viewed by appointment at our West London showroom.
