We are delighted to present for sale once again this 1959 Land Rover®? Series 2, fitted with 7 seats.
As can be seen from the photos, many of the elements one would expect to see on an early Series 2 survive, from the wing mounted mirrors, deep sills, to the correct 600×16 tyres & 6 digit registration. There is a towbar and electrics to the rear and the canvas is in good condition, being a recent item.
The interior houses the spare, and seating for seven with three front standard seats, and benches to the rear. Deluxe matting is fitted throughout. It is pleasing to note that many of the early period features survive, such as sought after metal spoke steering wheel, horn mounted on dedicated arm just as it should be, shalack ‘twist to open’ vents and twin individual wiper motors.
Out on the road, this series 2 delivers a pleasing period drive, and it always makes us feel that bit more comfortable on sale knowing that the previous owner has enjoyed the ownership without any major problems.
In summary, if you are looking for an early Series 2 that can carry the whole family and is tried and tested whilst still coming with our in-house warranty, then this lovely old girl could be for you. With MOT & Tax Exemption, along with classic insurance, it should prove cheap to run in the longer term too.
