Alfa Romeo 159i Gold
These were the ALFA flagship built in South Africa in 1984.
Only a limited number were produced with this specification.
The Alfa was purchased new as a significant anniversary present for a lady family member who has since passed hence the sale. It is a "one owner" vehicle.
The car has always lived in a dry ventilated garage and never allowed to remain wet, it is totally rust free from new (i. e. no rust repairs ever) - fairly unique for the marque.
Further details:
* The gearbox has been overhauled (at great cost), all syncromesh replaced, new clutch fitted - probably one of the smoothest gearboxes boxes today in a "trans axel" car.
* Engine untouched and in excellent condition.
* The entire fuel injection system has been overhauled.
* Fuel tank plastic lined, both fuel pumps replaced.
* New shock absorbers.
* Brand new Connolly leather interior - seats and doors. (very expensive)
* The aircon was degassed for transport and never recommissioned.
