Triumph Stag 1973 Rover V8 5 speed from an SD1. Original sapphire blue with blue interior and black hood.
Was purchased running but in need for some recommissioning. In preparation for a European trip it has received;
Oil change for engine, gearbox and diff
Oil filter
Carburettors rebuilt
New distirbutor, rotor arm, ignition contacts
New diff bearings
Diff side oil seals
Diff drive shaft oil seal
New front discs and brake hoses all round
New choke cable
Front seats refoamed
New sun visors
New battery and connectors, relocated to boot
4 new tyres (Avon ZT7 185)
New fuel pump
Plus many other jobs
To summarise, a fully turnkey ready to go Stag in nice useable condition.
Gearbox is noisy, especially in 5th. Which is common apparently but get used it it after a few miles, it is in itself quite a rare gearbox, from a manual V8 SD1. Registered as a historic vehicle with the DVLA, so tax, MOT and ULEZ exempt. Comes with the Heritage certificate and other paperwork
