Description
Now recognized as the ultimate Giulietta, the SPRINT SPECIALE or SS. The initial 750 SS “Low Nose” launched in 1959 with 105 built before replaced by Tipo 101. 20. It used a shorter wheelbase to the SPRINT Coupe, both by Carrozziere BERTONE. The 1300 DOHC engine offered astonishing 100 bhp performance, with 5-speed gearbox, and top speed of 200km/ h (124mph).
A mere 1, 366 (inc. 750 SS) of Type 101. 20 were produced, replaced in 1963 by the GIULIA Tipo 101. 21 with 1600cc DOHC.
Offered from one of the finest collections in South Africa, was bought in California USA over 20 years ago by the owner and shipped to South Africa where a complete restoration was undertaken.
A matching numbers car, Build No. 10120 00384 and No. 87 of 386 of the Export Tipo 101. 17 version - built on the SPIDER platform, it comes with the American papers and import documentation.
This outstanding example has been maintained in temperature-controlled environment since restored.
