1946 Jaguar Mark IV 3. 5 litre saloon. This car is a barn find that has been standing for almost half a century! The car comes with a lot of paperwork, including the original 1946 South Africa Registration document and is almost complete, with engine/ gearbox still in the car, all suspension, steering, brakes, seats (which have been refurbished at some time), all body panels, wire wheels and tyres, etc. Main missing parts are the headlamps, dashboard and instruments (so the mileage shown is purely a guess) and possibly some of the chrome work, such as door handles. However, we may have some of these items in our large stock of used spares, plus we are in the process of completing the restoration of another similar Mark IV, so we can reproduce most missing parts. Prime candidate deserving restoration, this now rare and classic Jaguar motor vehicle could be worth up to South African Rands 1. 8m (£85, 000) if prepared to a high standard. Full restoration would take at least 6 months and either we can carry out the restoration, or the buyer could arrange themselves. The price shown is for the car “as-is” – that is as pulled out of her previous resting place and now sitting in our warehouse patiently awaiting her proud new owner.
