Chassis 92 has a wonderful extensive competition provenance dating back to its first German driver in 1965, by 1968 the Lotus was in the hands of German Racer Wilfried Gullert who successfully campaigned the car across Germany including Nurburgring and Hockenheim. The Lotus remained in Germany until the early 1980s passing though the hands of such racers as Herbert Muller, By 1982 the 23B was purchased and imported to the UK by Peter Denty Racing, Simon Hadfield Motorsport Ltd carried out a full chassis up restoration in 2016 with a new body and rear uprights, Engine rebuild by Gerry Wainwright Motorsport, Shock absorbers rebuilt by IG Racing. Comprehensive extensive detailed provenance including provenance letters from previous custodians, Various Magazines detailing the 23B’s racing entries, Complete with comprehensive work/ restoration invoices, Current & previous FFSA Passports, HTP papers and a Wagonpass dating back to the 1970’s, Period racing photographs and Restoration photos. Recently re-commissioned to new FIA HTP standards with papers to December 2031.
