Porsche 911 3. 2 Carrera SSE (Supersport) Targa - 1989/ G Plate - C16 UK Spec and supplied.
One of the very last 3. 2's to be built. (21/ 07/ 89).
Just under 52, 000 miles and in stunning and original condition.
An exceptional car finished in Dankleblau - Dark Blue with colour-coded Fuchs. Hayward & Scott stainless steel sports exhaust and heat exchangers, with a perfect service history. Just 2 registered keepers from new, and a unique vehicle.
The current owner has had the car for circa 6yrs but it has been known to him since 2009, and owned by close friends/ acquaintances of the family since 2011.
The car is not registered in his name but is in a 'Trade' status and so only 2 keepers are shown on the V5 since 1989.
The owner was the 'North of England' Porsche inspector for Peter Morgan Consulting in the late 90's - early 2000's and first encountered this unique example 'in the flesh' as a one-owner vehicle in 2011 when he inspecting it on behalf of a prospective client... who declined to purchase when the vendor refused to offer any 'discount for cash'. It went on to be purchased as a one-owner car by a close friend of the current owner's late father and has been kept in outstanding, original condition. With the Hayward & Scott stainless steel sports exhaust and heat exchangers, it sounds like an air-cooled 911 should.
A Porsche-supplied Certificate of Authenticity comes with the car, and all of the original Porsche documentation is available with FPSH and a Service book with x15 OPC stamps dated 1989-2009 from the supplying dealer, AFN/ Guildford. After 2009 the car had independent servicing, including a visit to Strasse in Leeds.
In the last 10yrs, the car has been mainly stored as an investment item and has covered 2000 dry miles. The current owner, with his Porsche engineering background, has changed the oil and fluids on a regular basis during its storage period and time in his care.
The only non-original parts are the 'Clubsport steering wheel' and a 'Eurocup sports airbox with K&N filter but all of the original parts are still with the car and ready to be re-fitted if required. The interior is perfect - no drooping targa headlining or worn roof seals. It even smells like a new 1980's 911.
The ICE is still the Blaupunkt upgrade kit fitted at the factory, it has never been drilled for aftermarket speakers, and the factory fitted A/ C is gassed up & working.
The car sits on the factory original colour-coded Turbo Fuchs alloys with crested centres.
I am led to believe this is one of only fourteen C16 SuperSport Targas in RHD registered in the UK '87-'89, and the only one in this colour. One other example was built in this colour and spec, but that was LHD.
The vehicle is all original and totally unmarked, with a genuine/ documented current mileage of 51, 870 miles.
It currently carries its original G-plate issued by AFN/ Guildford as befitting a car from the final weeks of production for the 911 3. 2 Carrera at Zuffhausen (and immediately before Porsche took their 'summer break' to change the production line for the introduction of the 3. 6Ltr Typ. 964 911 range for the 1990 Model Year).
