Ford Cortina MK3 1. 6 Pickup. 57000 mls on the clock.
These were factory built in South Africa and were not available in the UK. This one is a very rare model as it has the early 3 gauges sloping dash and the early rear body with the cortina mk3 car lights fitted as standard into the tub. Its in very good condition for its age. It will need to be Uk registered which is a simple process, we will fill in all paperwork needed to register for you to send of to dvla, usually takes approx 2/ 4 weeks.
Vehicle will be M. O. T/ TAX exempt.
Body - Very solid from front to back. Paintwork is very nice, a few little chips consistent with its age but the body is really straight.
The underneath is as good, although on the front floor there is a small repair but it looks solid from the top, ask for pics.
Inside the tub is in excellent condition and looks as new.
It has the early 3 gauge sloping dash, radio.
sliding bench seat which has individual seating pads very rare and all in good condition
good original rubber carpet, door cards all excellent and headlining. Spare wheel in its cover, jack etc
The lights and window wiper toggle switches have been updated.
Really nice and tidy inside for a pickup, I don't think this has ever been used for work.
Tonneau cover all in good condition.
There is some checker plating added to rear tailgate but probably for comestics.
Mechanics - 1. 6 Crossflow which starts fine. Good quiet engine, 4 speed manual box. Good brakes and clutch, carb may need air/ fuel mixture adjusted due to different climate.
There is some history and service and owners books.
Wheels/ tyres all in good condition
