Description
The Beetle is a two door, rear-engine economy car, designed to take five occupants. It was manufactured by Volkswagen from 1938 until 2003. It is officially known as the Volkswagen Type 1. Informally and affectionately, it is known all over the world as the Bug. With 21 529 464 cars built, the Beetle is the longest running and most manufactured car of a single platform ever made!
This specific car is a 1959 model with matching numbers that was previously restored to a good standard. This Beetle is still running a 6-volt system, and everything works perfectly, including the famous “pop out” or Semaphore turn signals. The original engine has been retained and runs well. A truly beautiful classic Beetle that can very easily be used as an everyday commute, easy to drive and inexpensive to maintain.
