For sale, my 1976 Honda Gl1000 Goldwing.
Imported from North America by DK Motorcycles.
Purchased by myself from them and then subjected to a thorough recomissioning which included:
-Full carb strip down, clean and rebuild with all new year specific jets, orings and seals.
-Cylinder heads removed, valve seats reground, new head gaskets, valve stem seals, rocker gaskets etc.
-New cam belts.
-Fresh oil.
-Brake system overhaul.
-Fuel tank removed and cleaned.
-Electric fuel pump installed.
-Electronic ignition installed.
-New spark plugs.
-Carbs synchronised.
-New battery.
-New tyres and tubes.
-New hub gear oil.
-VJMC Date of age certificate.
-UK registered.
-MOT till 14/ 9/ 23.
-New fork oil seals, dust seals and 15W synthetic fork oil.
There may be some things I've forgotten there, but that's the main bulk of the work done.
It sailed through its MOT and the riding I've done has been trouble free, with the bike being surprisingly easy to handle for such a massive beast.
I'm only putting it up for sale because I have too many other projects and don't want it to sit gathering dust.
20 August 2023, just took it for a little once around the yard and took some fresh pictures.
The first time I've used it for a few months and it fired up after a few rankings and ran nicely.
I have a video of it riding and a walk around that I'm happy to share via WhatsApp if needed.
I also have many pictures of the strip and rebuild incase anyone wants to see below the surface.
