Description

1933 Morris 10/ 4 Saloon

Introduced in September 1932, the Morris Ten rapidly gained favour in the popular 10hp sector of the market. Very well equipped and boasting Lockheed hydraulic brakes, this new model was powered by a 1292cc engine.  Priced at a highly competitive £169. 10 shillings, the Morris represented excellent value. Originally catalogued as the Morris Ten, the designation was changed to Morris 10/ 4 later in 1933, this being due to the introduction of a six-cylinder addition to the range in August of that year.

Bearing the original Middlesex registration number, this example of the Morris 10/ 4 was first registered in December 1933. Sympathetically restored some years ago, the car has been in one ownership for the past 31 years, being part of a small collection.

The braking system has been gone through with replacement parts as required last year.

In very original order, the Morris presents well with well-fitting panels and good paintwork.

An opportunity to acquire a characterful early thirties family car for a modest sum, the car is supplied with parts information from the Morris Register, together with bill from the brake work and an old style RF60 logbook dating back to 1955.
