Many regard the SX200 to be the finest scooter Innocenti produced, and possibly regarded as the best scooter ever made. The SX range retained most styling features of the TV 175/ 200 Series III which preceded it. The bodywork however was more angular and streamlined than that of the preceding Li models. Like the TV Series III, the headset housed a keyed ignition/ light switch in the space that the standard Li had a simple kill switch. The SX200 had improved performance and gearing over the previous TV200 models. The SX is the quintessential Lambretta, they are extremely prized by collectors and the SX200 with its own uniquely styled panels and powerful motor is the absolute top of the scooter tree.

This 1966 specimen should be seen to be appreciated. The scooter was purchased by Nigel Cox, the owner and curator of the famous Weston Lambretta Museum, England, in the 1990s. The scooter was displayed for some time, then sold to a Steve Radford who, in turn, sold it to a Paul Lewis who kept her for around 15 years before selling to our vendor via Disco Dez Scooters in 2021. It is almost impossible to find this top marque Lambretta in such untouched and superb original condition. Upon inspection, the cables have never been moved and everything, including the original seat, is in exceptional condition. She is still a standard SX200 on standard 6 volt electrics. We could not see any paint touch-ups anywhere on the panels, the appearance is ‘as produced’. Originality includes the badges and decals and even the keys. A rare opportunity to obtain a fine example of an original SX200.
