1982 635 CSI Manual. Lapis blue, a real survivor with its original paint we think, I intend to preserve it rather than restore it,
they don't come up like this often I'm sure, so straight and eager to fly down the road, solid as they come without being restored, so the paint has a few minor issues but no fabrication necessary whatsoever, the panels being arrow straight from what I can see and it may just be all original or possibly fully restored previously, as previous owner had it some twenty five years, nobody of authority on these has really given it the once over yet.
Garage stored and not used since 1998, up until then driven and regularly serviced by BMW specialists in London.
Fully serviced then driven into its dry modern small block garage in West Wales, where it stayed from 1998 untill 2022, it was fully protected underneath before storage and has kept incredibly well, Tyres holding air and on the metric TRX Michelin on standard wheels, suspension and as it left the factory i believe, although it was first registered in Germany and shortly after arrived here in the UK in 1982 so maybe was a forces delivery, as it stayed in Germany for only eight months, as the service book and V5 indicate.
It's now been thoroughly checked out structurally and it's spot on, needing no welding whatsoever and just some fresh waxing underneath, as I've left it as I found it not to hide anything, but will need a good wire brushing first to remove the lose rust formed here and there, only a dusting so allows you to have some input with a few weekends work within anybody's capability.
I'll be driving it this week August,
to a local show, new radiator just fitted, Historic registered now so no MOT or tax required, driving beautifully, very reluctant sale but needs must it's booked in for a major service with a local specialist and probably going to attend to the paintwork too to make it a show stopper, just look around and compare prices, this is still very reasonable and only going one way, besides what classic at thi price point demands respect like this car, and it's super practical to boot.
