This is a genuine low mileage, 7500 mile, MK1 Series 1, chrome bumper, VW Golf GLS.
The GLS was the top trim level in 1978 and features extras such as deep pile carpets and bronze tinted glass.
This car has only 3 former keepers and after leaving its original family of 34 years has been in the motor trade in storage. Since I purchased the car three years ago I have recommissioned it and then only used the car to attend a few shows. Everything works as it should and it drives like new.
The car is in near concours condition with almost unmarked extrerior paintwork and interior which smells like new.
I have spent decades in the classic VW circles and never seen an early Golf as good as this. This iconic car will make a great addition to any collection.
