Launched in March 1965, the Mk2 benefitted from a more highly tuned engine, through a revised camshaft design, a water-cooled intake manifold, and tubular exhaust manifold, increasing the power to 67bhp at 6, 000rpm
Improved interior trim with redesigned seats and carpets replaced the rubber floor mats
This attractive example is finished in British Racing Green with a contrasting white hardtop and is fitted with overdrive
Very good interior in Black Vinyl piped in white with its original Motorola push-button radio and a smart Moto-Lita steering wheel
Purchased by a gentleman (photo in 1965 with car file) when it was five months old and passed down through his family until 2018 (further details in the car's history file)
Apparently the car was driven by Alan Carr in a BBC feature (details in file)
The paintwork on the bonnet is a little patchy and the last MOT ran out in June 2022, however, this is a delightfully original, low-mileage example of a topical 1960s classic
