This NSU Ro 80 with its twin disc Rotary engine and leather interior was handed over to its first owner, a lawyer in Muri near Bern, through the Audi agency ROFAG AG in Bern in December 1972. After a number of years, the Ro 80, painted in Sahara beige, was sold to a medical doctor also living in Muri. He kept the elegant German icon into the early 80s before selling it to a new owner in the Emmental where it remained until the mid-90s before being de-registered and stored for some time. In 2019 finally, the NSU was taken over by its last owner in the Valais canton. The nearly complete service booklet is testimony to the thorough maintenance the car has received over the last 99’000 kilometres. As one of only 37’406 examples built, this Ro 80 is in very good and well maintained original condition and will be sold with the latest Veteran MOT completed in June 2019.
