Discovered in the 1970s, OC 7134 was in poor but generally complete condition, and owned by a well-known Austin 7 enthusiast in Hampshire. He sold this type 65 in unrestored condition in the 1980s; restoration followed, retaining as many of the original Nippy parts as possible. When restored the main chassis members were replaced and bolted to the original cross members. A new floor was fitted, with the original number bolted to the floor. The front wings are original as is the bonnet, scuttle and rear end. The doors were re-skimmed as was the boot cover and the rear wings were made new. The engine at this time was a standard unit, but when the car was sold back to the Hampshire enthusiast a rare correct type original pressure fed engine was sourced and fitted about eight years ago. At the time the engine was checked and found not to require a rebuild, just a service. Before the current owner died, OC 7134 was much used and enjoyed; it requires a new custodian and is offered with a file of history that includes correspondence and photographs, old V5s, a green continuation logbook and a current V5C. A rare opportunity to acquire an original type 65 with an original pressure fed engine.

Vehicles that are un-registered or on foreign plates may require Import Duty and Vat to be paid upon purchase via HMRC prior to registering with the DVLA for a UK plate, if you are not sure please ask. For classic cars over 30 years this equates to 5% Duty on the final value. For cars described as MOT exempt (pre-1983) these vehicles may need their exemption registered with the DVLA.
