This Morris Sun-Tor was sold by us in 2021, to a local regular customer who restored the camper to its current condition.
We genuinely think he's done a fantastic job. Not only has he managed to restore the van to a great standard, he has managed to retain its originality.
Originally converted by Tor Cars of Torrington and sold by St. Andrews Motorhomes of Fife, this Sun-Tor caravan still displays its original number plate stickers and Tor Cars stickers.
2 of the original picnic tables are still present, as is the spare cushion which was originally designed to extend one side of the bed to accommodate a taller person and also to double up as an arm rest. 2 gas canisters are also present labelled with 1980's dates.
We purchased the camper, as needing restoration, in 2021.
It had been placed into storage, by its gentleman owner, in the early 90's and stayed there until we purchased in 2021.
The Scottish gentleman had owned the Morris for over 40 years, we suspect he even bought it from new and most likely only covered a mere 19, 000 in it.
The old style vehicle registration document is present, and declares the gentleman as the one and only keeper of the Morris since April 1977 (around the time that DVLA records were centralised).
Within the paper work is a very informative photocopied article reporting on the Sun-Tor. The article explains the background on the design, the available optional extras at the time of conversion, the specification and also some details of how to set the van up for camping.
The current V5 is present and has only 2 owners registered.
The camper is registered as historic, therefore benefits from tax and MOT exemption.
