Description
1962 Triumph TR3 Roadster with wire wheels and overdrive gearbox . The previous owner with great time and expense tried for 20 years to finish this car but never quite got there . The car is actually a TR3 B , a TCF series car , and has the correct TCF series engine which is likely original to the car . The previous owner always liked the smallmouth look , so that’s the way he did the car , but everything else looks correct for the model / year , so of course it could be changed back to wide mouth if you prefer ... not so hard . All of the mechanicals were rebuilt professionally . The engine was rebuilt by Macys Garage in Ohio , the best TR restoration shop in the USA . The original overdrive gearbox , also rebuilt . Both engine and gearbox were tested before installation . Chassis was sandblasted and all suspension and rear differential also rebuilt . New wire wheels , tires , exhaust , chrome , interior , top , tonneau , carpets , seating reupholstered .. new wiring harness needs to finish installation to start . The car still needs much sorting to be finished . All the bits are included . We have a large file of receipts .
The paint in our opinion , is just mediocre , but we don’t think it was ever wet sanded or buffed to finish standard after painting . It also has an alloy radiator and fuel tank . An easy winter project as all of the hard work has already been done . First 14, 900 GBP . We can help arrange ocean freight container delivery from the USA to point of entry at the port of Southampton or London UK (depending on current availability) for approximately $1500 USD . Other EU ports may be available , please enquire . Larger photo file available .
