Description
The Cadillac Seville is a mid-size luxury car produced by Cadillac from 1976 to 2004 as an entry-level premium model. Seville is the name of a Spanish province and its capital, famous for its history and its artistic and architectural treasures. Cadillac first used the name (Eldorado Seville) for the 1956 Eldorado two-door hardtop, but returned to a different name in '67. Launched as a new model, the Seville was Cadillac's response to the growing popularity of European luxury imports such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW. The Seville became the smallest and most expensive model in the range, subverting Cadillac's traditional marketing and pricing strategy and partly following the Calais as the smallest, Chevrolet-based Cadillac.
Cadillac's stylists dreamed up a sharp, angular body that would set the tone for GM styling for the next decade, as well as a wide-track stance that gave the car a premium look that made the first-generation Seville quite a success. For the 1980 model year, the Seville's K-body platform became front-wheel drive, based on the E-body Eldorado, Buick Riviera and Oldsmobile Toronado. The Seville was one of the last vehicles to be designed under the leadership of General Motors' then vice president of design, Bill Mitchell.
The model for sale is in excellent mechanical condition, and it also looks apart. As you can see on the pictures, it has a nice interior and flawless exterior.
