Description
The Land Rover Defender is a four-wheel drive off-road vehicle from the British brand Land Rover that was produced from 1983 to early 2016. The design is based on the earlier Land Rover Series 1, 2 and 3. The Defender name has only been used since 1990 to distinguish the model from the more luxurious Land Rover Discovery.
The Defender has been developed for use under extreme conditions. The car is equipped with coil springs and has permanent four-wheel drive. The central differential can be locked for optimal traction off-road. The Defender does not have a monocoque but a body-on-chassis construction, which means that all parts of the car can be replaced easily, and often by hand. This is ideal when maintenance is required in the field.
The car no longer met European standards and therefore the end of production was announced in 2015. On January 29, 2016, the last Defender rolled off the assembly line.
This Land Rover presented here is equipped with a Diesel engine and delivers sufficient power. The car has been extensively restored and looks fantastic. The interior is still new with leather seats and looks. The car's body and chassis also look fantastic. a beautiful Land Rover Defender that will last for many years to come.
