Interior & Equipment
Exactly as Willys Intended, minimal but with everything you need. The original frame seats have been fully restored and covered with a beige canvas. All gauges work correctly, all switch gear operates as it should. The interior front and rear have been completely repainted and present beautifully throughout. Original steel gear knobs and 3 spoke steering wheel are all perfect. Original vehicle specification and operation plates are still in place.
Exterior
This CJ-3A has been finished in US Navy Medium Grey. Fully restored in the Balearic Islands in 2015. The bodywork is corrosion free and presents very well, the underside and original chassis have been stripped back and painted.
All exterior lighting is new or restored original items. Additional side lights and indicators have been fitted for safety. New General Electric Headlights and period Gabriel tail lights.
The Beige canvas hood matches the seats with flexible roll-up rear window and leather supporting straps. The hood frame and sticks all fully restored. The hinged front screen and drop down tailgate operate perfectly... Lovingly restored to an excellent standard.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Willys factory steel pressed wheels are fully refurbished and finished in stunning US Navy Medium Grey. Fitted with excellent all matching legendary Firestone NDT Military 6. 00 - 16 heavy duty 6 ply tyres. The non-directional tread design on these premium tyres provides equal traction in either direction. Made in USA!
The complete hydraulic drum brake system has been completely overhauled and balanced, the hand operated handbrake operates with ease and holds firm.
Engine & Transmission
Fitted with the correct Willys-Overland Jeep enigine, 4 cylinder, 2. 2L/ 134. 2 cu. in, 51 bhp @ 4000 RPM, 105 lb-ft of torque @ 2000 RPM, 3-speed synchromesh gearbox, helical gear, transfer case provides 6 forward and 2 reverse speed ratios in 4-wheel-drive.
Recent extensive servicing and overhaul totaling £5295 by Willys World War 2 Jeeps Ltd including new ignition components, rebuilt steering box, new carburetor, all fluids replaced, new hoses, wheel alignment, various gaskets and oil seals.
On the road she pulls well, gear selection is good with no adverse or concerning rattles or crunches, maintains good oil pressure and water temperature. Needless to say she starts easily hot or cold and idles perfectly.
The engine bay presents beautifully and retains many of its original features.
Summary
The Willys-Overland Motors CJ-3A was introduced in 1949, and was in production until 1953, when replaced by the CJ-3B making this vehicle one of the last produced.
The history file documents that this CJ-3A was fully restored by Jeeps & Parts Spain, Son Castello, 07009 Palma De Mallorca and registered in the UK in the Spring of 2016. Matias Amengual Bujosa of Jeeps & Parts Spain kindly contacted us and sent us restoration pictures of our Jeep, also our Jeep being proudly displayed at a military show in Palma and various other car shows plus a lovely 5 minute walk around video of his workshop facilities which are outstanding and totally dedicated to Jeeps. This information is now safely in the history file.
This Willys Jeep in the UK was kept on display as part of an impressive private car collection for 5 years and is understood to have only covered 700 miles since restoration. The history file contains photographs of the Jeep next to some of the most exotic vehicles in this private museum.
The history file also contains detailed invoices totaling £5295 for recent extensive servicing work, CJ3 model servicing schedule, reproduction sales brochure, 2 x sets of keys etc.
Today the Willys Jeep remains one of the most significant vehicles of all time. This is an excellent opportunity to own an extensively restored, US Navy Specification CJ-3A.
