Description
Standard 9 1937 Project Car - Walk Around Video
- details above
This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a rather wonderful 87 year old piece of British motoring history. She is a project that requires finishing off with the knowledge that all the hard work is done.
The previous owner had spent lots and lots of time and money making this Standard 9 looks very special. The engine has been rebuild and was running very nicely when we first took her in as a part exchange back in 2021, the brakes had been replaced and verbally the whole car has been worked on to create a very interesting vehicle.
The 1131cc certainly loos very smart and its clearly been rebuild and painted to look like new!... the body work was professional respired in a lovely brown of brown/ bronze finish. The interior could certainly be improved and would suit some period seats to replace the modern (Ford?) interior. The car looks too have been rewired and a good job has been done.
The 'sunroof' panel is missing and therefore a replacement will need to be recreated (the previous owner planned a classic Fiat 500 pop on vinyl panel).
There is a log book and the current number plate is properly assigned to the car and is non-transferrable (it really suits the car of course)
Please understand that the car is a project and we will happily show a prospective buyer the car in person and we can assist with fair priced transport (we require a postcode for a quote) - we shall not to adding extra pictures or videos... you are very welcome to view the car ahead of buying her.
We could potentially offer a part exchange against a classic car thats ideally isn't also a project.
We are based in Overton, Hampshire (RG25), we are a 10 minutes drive from the M3 at Basingstoke.
