Description
This is very rare Standard Vanguard Vignale Six Estate....
The 1961 Phase III model designed by the Italian stylist Giovanni Michelotti and coachbuilders Vignale was somewhat different than the previous Phase models. A more modern design, the Vignale had deeper front and rear screens and revised tail lights with the estate having a very useful load area that may be seen on this Vanguard today.
The last owner paid for small fortune for this car a few years ago, during a last hurrah, where he purchased a number of classic cars... According to his family it was hardly ever driven....
This car has had another small fortune spent on it over the years and it well preserved... There is an invoice for a full engine rebuild in 2013 and upgrade to 2200 cc, amoungst others .
The overall condition is very empressive.. The interior is excellent throughout and very original....
Its very clean underneath , with many suspension components having been detailed and painted...
The engine bay also presents very well ..
The car starts , runs and drives very well....
Comes with its original transferable registration number and has the original buff logbook
The only thing that lets the car down is the paintwork has imperfections, from where it was left under a cover . The car is NOT rusty, but to make it beautiful again, you would repaint the lower half of the car, or just enjoy it as is, as a very practical classic .
The chromework is original, but still very presentable ..
If I don't sell this as it, I will book it in and re offer the car for considerably more money in a month or two...
I can arrange delivery, and would consider another classic vehicle, of any value, in part exchange...
Thank you for reading ..
