Launched in 1983, the lightweight Peugeot 205 was so influential that CAR magazine crowned it the Car of the Decade In 1990.
The 1. 6-litre GTi is considered by many to be the purest of the hot Peugeot range, having 115bhp in a 890KG car, offering 0-60 of 8. 7 seconds and a top speed comfortably in excess of 110mph.
Supplied new in 1990 with bright red paintwork and cloth trim interior and red carpet along with power steering, electric windows and a glass sunroof.
The car retains its originality from the factory steering wheel, gear knob and Clarion stereo down to the original and correct Speedline pepper pot wheels.
