The complete interior was retrimmed by Aldridge Trimming July 2022 at a cost of £5839. Brand new tilting bucket seats fitted, hand trimmed in fine grade old red leather plain pleated and moquette backs. Matching old red leather door cards with pull closure handles, leather centre console, gear lever gaiter and map pockets, facia and glove box, black leather dash top and door cappings with soft touch and saddle stitching, MG stainless sill covers and Dynamatting... Outstanding attention to detail and quality.

Deep pile matching red carpets throughout with matching over mats, period sound system with Bluetooth connectivity, bespoke hand made speaker box trimmed in leather houses JBL speakers, inertia reel seatbelts, and electric windows.

The matching leather rim Moto-Lita steering wheel complements this incredible and unmarked cabin. All clocks and gauges work perfectly and have crystal clear glass... Simply stunning.

Exterior

The history file documents the original body shell was subject to a full nut and bolt restoration in 2016/ 17 and repainted in English White. The paint finish and bodywork are still outstanding and blemish free today with excellent panel fit, lovely shut lines and gaps. The underside has been completely painted and presents in remarkable order.

Bright work all around is in perfect blemish free order. The new black mohair roof and frame unmarked with perfectly clear screens. All glass is again unmarked, opening quarter lights operate perfectly, and all exterior lights blemish free.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes

Wheels - Fitted with beautiful Minator 8 spoke centre lock 15" alloy wheels with 2 ear MG chrome spinners. Dressed with excellent all matching quality Pirelli Cinturato P1 175/ 65 R15 tyres.

Brakes - Hydraulic brake system with servo assistance, front 10. 75" dia disc, rear; 10" dia drum. A recent brake overhaul has been completed, the brakes are perfectly balanced and pull up strongly.

She sits beautifully, steering is precise and responsive, Gaz adjustable coil-over front suspension and new rear leaf springs.

Engine & Transmission

Rover 3. 5 ltr V8 and mated to a new Mazda 5 speed gearbox. The engine was sourced and selected due to having very low original mileage circa 29k then fully rebuilt and fitted by Broad Arrow Classic Cars in the summer of 2022, the car was completely rewired at this time too. Fitted with a 4 barrel Edelbrock 500 carburettor and Offenhauser JWR Dual Port Inlet Manifold, returning 138 BHP. A mere 5000 miles have been completed since fitting.

A full and extensive service and setup has just been completed at a cost of £1280 so she wants for nothing and is ready to be enjoyed.

She runs perfectly with no overheating issues and starts perfectly on the button from hot or cold, the V8 soundtrack is tremendous through the full stainless steel exhaust system. The recent clutch is light and progressive in operation, the manual 5 speed gearbox offers a positive and precise gear change... A joy to drive and what a soundtrack.

Here we have a rather special and bespoke built MGB Roadster fitted with a Rover 3. 5 V8 and mated to a Mazda 5 speed manual gearbox plus a complete one off Aldridge Trimming hand finished interior.
