Launched in 1949 following a magnificent performance in the 1948 ISDT in Italy, where the Allan Jefferies lead team won the major trophy. The TR5 became a favourite with club riders, as an all-rounder that could be used for trials, scrambles, hill climbs and going to work. With its all-alloy engine and light weight it was quite a 'looker' too.
This 1951 Triumph TR5 was purchased by the vendor in 2004 as part of his Triumph collection, he purchased it as a restored machine ‘as is’, not much is known of the machine previous to him. it was used for events from time to time and has been stored for a while, so some recommissioning will be required before use. It comes complete with a V5C.
