Description
This rare and ultra original XK140SE must be one of the last untouched cars. This is the very best of the specifications for the model. Fitted from new with the SE engine unit (C Type head), this car also has the very rare close ratio gear box.
The car is full matching numbers , as far as we can see the bodywork and underside are totally original and untouched. The car has been re trimmed at some time with the original red trim replaced by beige.
The body in general is excellent, very straight , good door shuts and little rust evident, no filler. The front of the rear wings need repair panels with rust in the first 3 inches. Also it will need a boot floor and the rear floors .
The underside is just surface rust, it is very good indeed, no repairs at all and no evidence of any accidents at any time.
The engine turned by hand and after lubricating the top end and change the plugs and a clean supply of fuel. It starts, runs, revs , and ticks over beautifully, no smoke after it blew the first 2 kilos of acorns from the exhaust pipes !!. The speedometer reads 44123 miles which we believe to be true. Whilst the car appears complete, there is no soft top frame.
The original colours were black paint, red upholstery and biscuit hood. All the electrics seem to be live and working too.
There are very few undiscovered original cars these days and this is a must for any classic Jaguar enthusiast.
The car may be viewed in our Sheffield location. We will register and deliver the car to the new owner. Dates and numbers are shown on the heritage certificate and are correct to the car.
Please note we have many more images available and any specific pictures can be taken as requested.
