MG Midget MkIII RWA – 21, 000 Miles/ Stunning Car

The MG Midget Mk III was introduced in 1966. Improved performance (the A-series engine capacity was increased to 1275cc) and refined interior (including a folding hood mechanism) made the model the perfect entry level sports car for a new generation of appreciative young drivers who wanted affordable performance



Milestone Classics are delighted to market one of the nicest Midgets that you could wish to find. Finished in the rare combination of black/ tan Interior with desirable round wheel arches, the car has covered just 21, 000 miles and had seven owners from new (4 in the last 40 years).



The Midget has never been restored, is structurally very good with no corrosion and drives exactly as intended when she left Abingdon in 1973. The engine/ gearbox are excellent - the MG has always been loved with annual servicing and an MOT history back to 1992 when the mileage was just 11, 596.

·  Gearbox Rebuilt including modified Front Seal (Dec 2022)

·  New Clutch/ Roller Release Bearing from Alan Anstead (Dec 2022)

·  New Rubbers all around including Windscreen (Spring 2023)



The interior is lovely with just the right patina - the often-used phrase “they are only original once” springs to mind - and all controls/ gauges etc work as intended & the hood is very good and easy to use. There is a large history folder back to 1982 with MOT’s, invoices, old registration documents etc.



Exactly as she left the factory, we particularly like the original Rostyle wheels that have been retained and work perfectly with the black bodywork.



Cars this original and in this condition rarely come to market. Ready to use and enjoy, she is perfect for weekends away, classic car shows or simply a run out to the pub on a sunny evening to meet friends.
