We are pleased to offer for sale our beautifully prepared 1965 MGB race car.

Built by renowned MGB specialist MG Motorsport in 2017, campaigned by it’s current owner with numerous class wins & podiums across a number of leading UK historic race series – Equipe GTS, HRDC and Masters Historic Racing “Gentleman Drivers”.

Prepared by Redline Engineering UK with no expense spared, fresh engine August 2023 by B Stevens Classic Cars Ltd (3 race meetings), at the same time new AP paddle clutch, gearbox and axle both overhauled in-house January 2023, carbon Tillett seat (2025), TRS harness (2028) fire extinguisher serviced 2024. Engine oil / filter – brake & clutch fluid regularly changed, all lightweight Aeroquip fuel & oil lines, removable steering wheel, aluminium fuel cell, new fuel pump October 2023, lightweight battery, Mani-Flow exhaust system (new silencer April 2024).

Heading into 2024 the decision was made to rectify all body work imperfections as well as dents before a complete back to bare metal repaint in preparation for the upcoming Equipe Racing official test day in March where the car ran without fault, this continued into the first round of Equipe GTS achieving two podiums, a reflection into the standard of our race prep. It goes without saying over the years, this car has been extensively developed making it a front running car. Lightweight and down on the minimum weight.

A very versatile MGB race car that can be used for either circuit racing or road rallies. A competition car that opens itself up to pretty much any historic race series both here in the UK or Europe, road registered allowing the opportunity to be enjoyed on the road or hill climbed, HTP papers until 2027, 3 former owners.

Nicely documented history all presented in a leather bound file: MG Motosport invoice, spec sheet from MG Motorsport, numerous invoices by both present and previous owner, Heritage Trust Certified, HTP papers 2027, MSA letters, rolling road graphs after each rebuild, photo’s, scales results, race results.
