Built on 14th April 1969 and despatched from the factory on 5th May to King and Harper Ltd in Cambridge. Finished in its original colour scheme of island blue with snowberry white roof. A full length sunroof was fitted as a dealer option to the first owner
The original owner kept the car right up until 1983 when it was passed to the second owner. This gentleman was meticulous in his care for the car. There are bills for regular rustproofing amongst the paperwork. A new engine with a stage 1 head was fitted in the early 90s. The history file contains mots dating back to 1983, British motor heritage certificate, many many invoices for its upkeep over the years. It was then passed to the owners son in 2006 , whom we have purchased it from. It was a heart wrenching decision for him to part with it, but he did not find the time to use it and it spent its life safety in the garage.
I have been out on road test with it today and it performs just as it should. The engine pulls well and maintains correct temperature and oil pressure. It has rear seat belts fitted which is great if you have children
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a very low ownership example. If you are looking for a trailer queen, then this willl not be the car for you, it has been very well cared for and is extremely sound, it has some stone chips and the odd mark here and there. I am more than happy to discuss over the phone or provide further pictures. We can negotiate on any improvements the new owner would like to make, but it is our opinion it should be left exactly how it is.
