Classic Car Design offers you this beautiful 6-cylinder Jaguar XJS coupé. It is from the first generation and can be recognised by its chrome bumpers and quarter-circle rear lights. The car is of French origin and is fitted with a manual gearbox.
Under the bonnet is Jaguar's famous 3. 6-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine. Along with the 4. 0L, this is certainly the engine that best suits this model: powerful, smooth and quiet, it is perfect for powering this majestic coupé.
On the outside, the bodywork is a beautiful shade of metallic « claret red », which is quite bright, as the car was repainted a few years ago. A few discreet defects in application and use do nothing to detract from the car's beautiful appearance. The chrome is in good condition, with just a few wear and tear marks. The rims have been repainted and are scratch-free.
Inside, it's all very XJ! Plastic has not yet completely replaced leather and wood. The instrumentation, with its typical 'scroll' meters, is very vintage. The dashboard is beautiful, with no cracks or distortion. The leather on the seats and rear bench has been very well preserved, with only the driver's seat a little more worn. The roof lining has recently been redone.
The engine works very well, with only a whisper of power to be heard. The 5-speed manual gearbox makes the most of the power and flexibility of this beautiful in-line 6. The suspension offers comfort worthy of the vehicle's status, while keeping body movements to a minimum, as the suspension too has benefited from a complete overhaul. The brakes do their job without faltering.
This Jaguar XJS coupé looks good overall and runs above average. It's a car whose presence is matched only by the Coventry firm's reputation for luxury!
