Launched in 2009, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was acknowledged as a tribute to the legendary 300 SL ‘Gullwing’ coupé of the 1950s. A collectors’ item from day one, the newcomer featured ‘Gullwing’ doors like its illustrious predecessor and succeeded the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren at the top of the range. Boasting a chassis/ body of mainly aluminium construction, the SLS (Sport Leicht Super) was powered by a 6. 2-litre V8 engine producing 563bhp initially, making it the most powerful normally aspirated production car engine of its day, while the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission was similarly state-of-the-art. An open roadster was introduced for 2011.
This SLS AMG Roadster was delivered new in Aargau, Switzerland and has belonged to the current and second owner since 2018. The car has covered under 10, 200 kilometres from new and is presented in commensurately good condition, having been serviced at Mercedes-Benz Automobil AG, Zweigniederlassung Zürich-Nord in July 2023 and March 2020 (invoices on file). Offered with Swiss carte grise and Mercedes-Benz wallet containing all books.
