In 1962, the MGB was probably one of the greatest successes of the British Motor Corporation, if not the entire British automotive industry. To this day, the MGB is one of the most popular classic cars - for many, THE classic car par excellence. An above-average supply of spare parts and robust, simple technology contribute to this. The modern design with self-supporting bodywork was a big step ahead of the direct competition from Triumph, for example. Under the bonnet was the BMC-B engine, a 1. 8-litre four-cylinder unit with relatively high torque and an oil cooler as standard. The car was also built with six and eight-cylinder engines until 1980, although the four-cylinder engine proved to be more durable and more balanced.
This MGB Roadster from Swiss first delivery has passed through only 2 hands to date, spending over 20 years in the last one. The car is in a beautiful and well-kept condition. The technology works perfectly, including the Laycock overdrive, which can be engaged in 3rd and 4th gear for very pleasant long journeys.
