Honda S2000: Warranted 47k Miles/ FSH/ Hard-Top
Introduced at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show as a concept car the final production model was launched in 1999 to celebrate Honda’s 50th anniversary. The development process was driven by Honda’s engineers and designers (the finance and marketing departments were largely excluded) as the engineers wanted a “project more focused, more Honda”.
The final result is an absolute breathtaking car - my words, not Honda.
The front/ mid-engine 50/ 50 configuration mated to the 2000cc VTEC engine (claimed by Honda to have the highest specific output of a normally aspirated production automobile engine at that time), six-speed gearbox, double wishbone suspension and easy on the eye styling all comes together to provide an utterly engaging driving experience and a nailed on future classic.
This car first came onto the Milestones radar in 2019 when the long-term owner decided to sell his S2000 simply because she was not being used.
This local car had always been carefully maintained (14 service stamps) and never used for track days or high-speed late night cross country thrashes and the Montecarlo Blue colour scheme with black interior, my personal favourite combination, was in remarkable condition.
The chap who bought the car from us at this time has covered just 3k miles in five years and has thoroughly enjoyed the experience but has reluctantly decided to sell simply through loss of storage.
The history folder has every MOT, full book-pack, excellent service history, lots of invoices and we can warrant the 47k miles from new.
Cars this original and of this quality rarely come to market with owners keeping them to use, enjoy, polish and then sell on to another club member.
